Don’t take yourself too seriously.
Bob and Gaile made people feel welcome by being themselves. We take the work seriously and make room for personality. A business should sound like the people who built it.
Ours starts with a family pizza shop, a broom, and a couple of unforgettable personalities.
Today, Rock Advertising brings that same small-business spirit to professional video production, creative work and targeted advertising. We get to know the people behind the business—then help their story reach the right audience.

On the plains in downtown Kingston, New Hampshire, Gaile’s Galley was a family pizza and sub shop where a bite to eat came with a few laughs. Bob and Gaile Hanscom’s personalities were as much a part of the place as the food.
For the generations growing up around the shop, the lessons started with sweeping floors, taking out the trash and doing whatever needed doing. From the early 1970s through the 1990s, that family business helped shape the work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit that would eventually become part of Rock.
And it gave us an early lesson in advertising: the best story was already there.
Bob and Gaile’s expressive faces became black-and-white caricatures on menus and advertising. The humor felt like them. The welcome felt like the shop. Customers knew the people they were coming to see.
“She smiles for miles.”— From the Gaile’s Galley menu
The menu still tells the story: familiar faces, a little mischief, and a business comfortable being itself.

Spend time with the owners, the team and the customers. Listen to what matters. The details that make a company different are often right in front of you.
Gaile’s Galley kept its advertising true to the shop. The look evolved, but the personality stayed. That same clarity helps a business carry its story from one advertisement to the next.
Gaile’s Galley was eventually sold, and Bob and Gaile enjoyed a well-earned retirement. The family’s entrepreneurial spirit carried on.
Rock Advertising was founded by Katherine Lee-Kramer and co-founded in 2022 by Charles “Murph” Murphy, Bob and Gaile’s grandson. Today, the Murphy and Kramer families carry those roots into a family-owned and operated advertising business.
We started Rock with a belief that an all-in-one video advertising solution should be within reach of local businesses. Production and media planning belong together, with real people guiding the work.
We bring independent creative professionals together around your project: professional cameras, thoughtful lighting, editing, design and practical media planning.
Headquartered in Southern, New Hampshire, we work with businesses across NH, MA, ME and VT—and run advertising for clients throughout the United States.
